Sep 24, 2019 · I bought a 1st gen Sub 2000 in hard chrome during the crazy days a few years ago. I was insane enough to pay $999 for it. It ran fine until the plastic feed ramp broke apart. So I ordered parts from M*Carbo and installed them and now the thing just runs flawlessly. I just bought a Kel-Tec PMR 30 so I'm hoping it will be trouble free.

The KelTec Sub2000, aka the Sub 2K, finds the perfect middle. It might look like a simple pistol caliber carbine, but don’t be fooled. The KelTech Sub2000 is different than other PCCs on the market. But how? Kel-Tec Sub2000 Gen 2 9mm. First, it folds in half. IMO, the Gen 2 was a HUGE improvement over the Gen 1 and pretty solid. The M*Carbo rear sight is a good option but you also can drill out the aperture of the OEM sight and trim the “ears” to allow it to fold. See image below. If you remove just the perfect amount, the OEM rear sight will still auto-deploy when you unfold the firearm but easily fold down. The Red Lion is the best option for the front sight.
